Field Service Controller – Heavy Plant
A global manufacturer specialising in Heavy Plant are looking for a Field Service Controller to support the running of the regional activity for the business.
 
Role: Field Service Controller
Area: Portsmouth
Salary: £45,000 per year + benefits
 
The requirements of the Field Service Controller will be:

• As Field Service Controller, you will be required to plan, allocate, and coordinate service jobs for field engineers based on priority, location, and availability.
• Support field engineers with job information, technical documentation, and any logistical requirements.
• Act as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries, providing updates and managing customer expectations.
• Open, track, and close service jobs in the system, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with parts departments to ensure availability and delivery of required components to engineers or job sites.

 
The ideal candidate for Field Service Controller will be:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the heavy plant, construction equipment, or machinery sectors.
• Excellent planning and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems is advantageous.
