As part of our strategic growth initiative, we are expanding our operations in Turkey and are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to develop and manage high-value customer relationships across the country.
This position is ideal for a results-driven, strategic sales professional with a proven track record in managing large B2B accounts in the construction, mining, or heavy equipment sectors.
Position Overview
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining long-term relationships with major clients such as large contractors, equipment rental companies, industrial buyers, and public sector entities. The role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, the ability to offer tailored solutions, and a strong drive to achieve sales targets. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic liaison between clients and the organization, ensuring mutual growth and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Development
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities with high-volume buyers in key sectors, including infrastructure, construction, mining, and government procurement.
- Lead the entire sales process: from prospecting and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, deal closure, and after-sales support.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities and regularly update forecasts and activity reports to management.
2. Relationship Management
- Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with senior decision-makers, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders within key accounts.
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction by being responsive, proactive, and consistent in communication and service delivery.
- Conduct regular business reviews and site visits to maintain alignment with client goals and uncover new business needs.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal departments including product support, service, finance, and marketing to deliver customized and integrated solutions.
- Engage with dealer partners when necessary to support product delivery, technical service, and after-sales support.
- Monitor project execution timelines, ensure timely payment collection, and facilitate resolution of any service or contractual issues.
4. Market and Competitor Intelligence
- Stay abreast of industry trends, upcoming infrastructure projects, and competitive movements that may influence customer decisions.
- Provide regular feedback to the product and management teams regarding pricing strategies, product improvements, and service enhancements.
- Represent Liugong at relevant trade shows, industry conferences, and client events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical/commercial field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial, capital goods, or construction equipment sales, with a strong background in B2B account management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term relationships with large corporate or institutional clients.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences including executives and technical teams.
- Proficiency in Turkish is essential; working knowledge of English is required for internal communication and reporting.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Turkey for client meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
- Strong commercial acumen, solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while aligning with broader business objectives.
